Titled Out of Office, this volume is an attempt to record and reflect upon the new modes of working and thinking that have emerged beyond the residency studios, illuminating the dynamic and collaborative processes which grounds the residents of Cycle 2.

From community gardens in Toa Payoh and Macpherson and along the coast of East Coast Park, to a random unit in Golden Mile Tower and an abandoned bus terminal in Punggol, the residents of Cycle 2 expanded their research further than expected, sometimes bringing us along, sometimes returning bearing stories from spaces we have not yet encountered or heard of ourselves; this served as the basis upon which this volume builds itself.
