Open Systems 3: Prototypes for Alternative Power

OS3: Prototypes for Alternative Power

Presented by Singapore Art Museum as part of its Open Systems online exhibition series, Prototypes for Alternative Power presents artworks, documentation, and texts that expose the limitations of prevailing technological infrastructures and propose radical alternatives. Challenging claims of technological neutrality, the exhibition foregrounds digital systems as interfaces through which race, labour, and memory are distributed and continuously renegotiated. Each work functions as a proposal, gesture, or prototype for reimagining dominant forms of technological, social, or political power. The exhibition website itself extends this inquiry, operating on a solar-powered server network, Solar Protocol.

Prototypes for Alternative Power is curated by Celine Wong Katzman.
