Inspired by Bagus Pandega’s Fabric of The Earth, this workshop invites participants to explore the meaning of “house” and “home” through 3D printing. Guided by facilitators at ALT TAB, participants will sketch, model and print their own interpretations while learning the basics of 3D printing, gaining insight on the fabrication process. Together, these works will form a collective landscape of memory and belonging.
By engaging the overarching theme in their own unique ways—be it architectural, symbolic or abstract—and reflecting on everyday symbols of home, nature and community, participants’ creations will form a collective landscape of memory and belonging. Together, this workshop demonstrates how digital fabrication can turn fragile stories into tangible forms, echoing the way Fabric of the Earth reshapes disaster into dialogue.
This programme is presented in conjunction with the exhibition, Elia Nurvista and Bagus Pandega: Nafasan Bumi ~ An Endless Harvest.
