Chok Si Xuan is a sculptor whose practice is heavily influenced by technology and science fiction. Through found and made objects, she explores uncanny, contradictory, and mutated figurations. While in residence, Chok plans to continue to train her practice in the direction of cybernetic systems through the enquiry into the body as a site of virtual and corporeal convergence. She will draw from contexts of increased automation and symbiotic relationships within local ecosystems to experiment with installation-based works that consider audience interaction and activation.
