Manager/Senior Manager, Education, Programmes and Access

3-month Contract

SAM is committed to making contemporary art accessible and inspiring for everyone. We are currently seeking a temporary staff for Education, Access and Programmes for a period of three months. The role will support the Education, Access and Programmes team in the delivery of immersive and inclusive experiences. 


 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


    • Continued commitment to Access programmes and building partnerships
    • Ongoing development of inclusive content for SAM's online and onsite audiences, including administrative support
    • Working with artists to develop/support the SAM Touch collection and/or resources based on SAM’s collection
    • Working with MOE AEB for school programmes 
    • Support marketing and audience development activities for Education, Access and Programmes
    • Any ad hoc duties as assigned
       
        

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum 8 years of experience in the museum, arts and heritage sector or equivalent
    • Degree in Museum Studies or a related qualification
    • Excellent project management skills 
    • Excellent record of stakeholder management
    • Experience in coordinating programmes, in particular programmes for a range of audiences, including access requirements
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including written communication skills
    • Effective time management and organisational skills, and the ability to exercise initiative
    • A good level of computer literacy with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
       

       

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

  • Curatorial experience 
  • Knowledge of ITQ, direct contracts, etc
