SAM is committed to making contemporary art accessible and inspiring for everyone. We are currently seeking a temporary staff for Education, Access and Programmes for a period of three months. The role will support the Education, Access and Programmes team in the delivery of immersive and inclusive experiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Continued commitment to Access programmes and building partnerships
- Ongoing development of inclusive content for SAM's online and onsite audiences, including administrative support
- Working with artists to develop/support the SAM Touch collection and/or resources based on SAM’s collection
- Working with MOE AEB for school programmes
- Support marketing and audience development activities for Education, Access and Programmes
- Any ad hoc duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the museum, arts and heritage sector or equivalent
- Degree in Museum Studies or a related qualification
- Excellent project management skills
- Excellent record of stakeholder management
- Experience in coordinating programmes, in particular programmes for a range of audiences, including access requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including written communication skills
- Effective time management and organisational skills, and the ability to exercise initiative
- A good level of computer literacy with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
- Curatorial experience
- Knowledge of ITQ, direct contracts, etc
