Manager / Senior Manager, Public Art

Full-time Position

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Cultivate and develop partnerships for public art projects and co-manage stakeholders.
    • Plan and implement outreach and engagement strategies
    • Oversee budget management and marketing and communication activities across all projects within the department.
    • Lead and ensure project realisation in collaboration with various SAM departments, external stakeholders and partners, in adherence to project expectations. This include but is not limited to:
      • Monitoring progress, managing project risks to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within scope and budget.
      • Secretariat duties, where applicable
    • Co-develop and support project-specific public programmes.

DESIRED SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES:


  • At least five to eight years of relevant work experience in the field of the arts in a project management and content creation role, with proven track record in fostering partnerships across a variety of sectors and disciplines.
  • A team player with excellent work ethic who is well-organised and who has managed several projects involving large teams simultaneously.
  • Self-directed learner and problem solver who exhibits maturity and presence of mind in remaining productive under deadline pressures.
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English, as well as excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Fluency in other official languages of Singapore and/or local dialects is an advantage.
  • Some curatorial experience is a plus.
  • Cultural sensitivity and empathy for diverse communities.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  • Availability to work on evenings, weekends and public holidays
