Assistant Manager/Manager, Production Management

Full-time Position

REPORTING TO: Senior Manager, Production Management

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement all aspects of planning and operations relating to the realisation of exhibitions and other projects, as well as, care of artwork collections
  • Organise and develop a full project life cycle project plans for the production management activities, including overseeing workflow, budget & costs management, timeline setting, project administration and exhibition set up and maintenance, logistics, design, fabrication and artwork/project installation for local and travelling exhibitions / projects
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget
  • Analysing and managing project risk, monitoring progress and taking corrective measures
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Responsible and manage day to day maintenance of museum displays
  • Manage physical facilities for exhibitions and projects, including gallery spaces, art handling areas and exhibition stores
  • Review and keep up with current trends and best practices that may have an impact on exhibition/project planning, logistics and museum management issues
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimal resourcing, working relationships and fostering key networks
  • Apply and enforce workplace safety measurements at worksites
  • Handle ad-hoc assignments as and when required

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Develop and implement all aspects of planning and operations relating to the realisation of exhibitions and other projects, as well as, care of artwork collections
  • An individual with at least 3 to 5 years’ technical experience or exhibition / artistic presentations
  • Interest in contemporary art or related fields
  • Good project management and organisational skills
  • Attention to details and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work individually and in a team
  • In good physical health and ability to work at height
  • Versatility and interest in various technologies, relevant to artwork visual presentations
